When we started Ocala Healthcare in 2017, it was with a vision to make agency care better than what they had experienced themselves. Better for Care Workers, Residents, and Care Managers.
Our mission when launching was;
To be the catalyst for change in agency care. To set new standards of professionalism, care, and reliability in agency care.
It is not easy to sum up the entirety of an ambition into one concise sentence! But this made sense to us. It set out what we hope to achieve, which is to be the spark that makes all care agencies do better.
To be the catalyst for change in agency care.
This first line lets people know that our desire is to be the first spark that starts the engine of change. In our experience as agency care workers, we have been undervalued, treated as a number, made to pay for training, and had holiday pay kept from us.
To set new standards of professionalism, care, and reliability in agency care.
The second, and final line, tells people what we hope to achieve.
We want to run a care agency that treats care workers with the professional respect they deserveand has robust and professional processes.
We want to run a care agency that promotes the best care possible! Care for residents, care for care managers, care for care workers.
We want to run a care agency that does what it says it will do and turn up when they say they will!
By doing these things, we believe that Ocala Healthcare will set new expectations for care agencies, which everyone will need to achieve or be left behind.
But now we are four years into our journey, and the above isn’t enough. It is not enough just to be professional. It is not enough just to care. It is not enough just to be reliable.
Four years into our journey, we can take some pride in saying that we have created a professional, caring, and reliable business. During this short time, we have created a formidable reputation for being an agency that can be leaned on by providers, even during a global pandemic.
However, we want to be the catalyst for change. We want every agency to put making people’s lives better at the forefront of their business.
For this to happen, Ocala Healthcare must become an industry leader.
To do this, we cannot just be professional, caring and reliable. We MUST be innovative!
Our most recent example of being innovative is creating the first ever Carer Appreciation Event. You can see the pictures on Facebook here.
But we have lots in the pipeline which we hope will make Care Workers, Care Managers, and ultimately residents lives better.
As a business we are always learning and changing as we work to figure out how we can bring our mission to reality, so to acknowledge the new innovative part of our mission we have changed it!
Our new mission is to be the catalyst for change in agency care by being the best in the world at valuing and appreciating everyone in Social Care.
As you can see, we have kept the catalyst for change in agency care as this represents not only aspiring to deliver fantastic service ourselves but to also set a new standard for all care agencies.
But to incorporate innovative with professional, caring, and reliable we have set out our new mission to be the best care agency in the world at valuing and appreciating everyone in Social Care.
This means asking ourselves “What would the best in the world do?” with everything we do.
How can we value and appreciate care workers better than anyone in the world?
How can our service make Care Managers jobs more enjoyable?
How can Ocala Healthcare help residents live their best life?
We are constantly asking ourselves these questions, and we want all care agencies to ask themselves the same thing.
Everyone deserves OUTSTANDING care, and to do this Care Providers must be able to lean on OUTSTANDING Care Agencies.
